Our mission is to provide internal Aetna users with a simple yet powerful platform to manage incidents, problems, changes, and knowledge. We are seeking a developer to work collaboratively with a talented Agile team to create a best-in-class IT Service Management (ITSM) experience. The ideal candidate thrives in an agile environment and has a passion for developing high-quality, maintainable code.

Fundamental Components:

Assists with formulation and definition of solution scope and objectives while working with a team of Developers / Analysts on functional requirements and specifications.

Develops high-quality solutions using primarily the ServiceNow platform and JavaScript.

Communicates with business analysts and other developers throughout development to refine solutions.

Review and test other team members code to ensure a quality product.

Independently performs and assists other team members in providing ongoing system maintenance, research, problem resolution, and on-call support tasks for existing systems.

Supports the implementation of systems into production.

Researches emerging technologies to determine impact on existing services and identify improvement opportunities.


Strong ability in one or more programming language.

2-4+ years experience in systems analysis and application program development, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Have the following competencies or similar expertise with a strong desire and ability to learn new technologies and develop elegant solutions.


-ServiceNow or the willingness to learn the platform and work within its development environment.


-UI/UX design

  • Angular JS

  • HTML

  • Bootstrap



    -Experience with a Content Management System is a plus.

    -ITIL/ITSM knowledge is a plus.


    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


    A detail oriented mind with strong analytical skills.

    A strong interest in technology with the desire to continually learn.

    Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

    Excellent communication skills.

    Agile experience is a plus.

    Ability to work effectively within a team and across teams in the organization.
