For the newly formed Clinical Services and Solutions Transformation and Project Management Office: Oversees the implementation of information strategy and development of information products to ensure operational objectives and other strategic business initiatives are met. Responsible for managing multiple projects and ensuring day-to-day project activities runs smoothly. Project and Product Management accountabilities: project oversight including initiation, identification and completion of key deliverables to ensure all business objectives are met. Develops tactical plans to satisfy internal program information needs and is responsible for the success of the project(s).
Manages the overall delivery of information and transaction products and activities by ensuring the project team uses consistent definitions and methodologies where appropriate.
Responsible for managing, directing and planning multiple complex projects.
Oversees the reporting strategy and deliverables at the intersection of the new Aetna Community Care Model and the Next Generation Clinical Platform.
Runs the regular executive and operational review sessions and develops materials for executive briefings.
Works with advisers from key functional areas to understand potential project impact on the organization, align project work, and execute activities accordingly
Presents to internal/external customers, constituents and business partners, strong business as well as systems knowledge and can perform reasonability checks.
Conducts or oversees the analysis, planning, design and development activities to achieve business objectives.
Influences change or enhancements to business processes, policies and system infrastructure to improve information quality, availability and access.
Develops and participates in presentation and consultation to existing and prospective customers, business partners and internal business areas on information services, capabilities and performance results.
Negotiates resources in peer organizations to meet high priority department objectives.
Proactively evaluates project activities, builds contingency plans, executes corrective action, and monitors issue resolution to mitigate risks such as scope and/or budget variances.
Manages budget, plans and expenses for Clinical Solutions and Services organization.
15+ years of demonstrated leadership (independent operator or leading a team)
15+ years of project/program/process management experience
15+ years of data interpretation and analysis experience (advanced in MS Excel)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (advanced in MS Powerpoint)
Attention to detail and comfort with creating executive materials
Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a MBA.
