POSITION SUMMARY

Risk Adjustment Finance is seeking a candidate to support data analysis, reporting, and predictive modeling. This role will develop predictive models to support operational decision making and also be responsible for some reporting and general analysis. The position involves extracting, collecting, analyzing and interpreting health, utilization and financial data from many sources to address business questions regarding population health management, health and economic outcomes, and other business needs.

Fundamental Components:

1) Designs and codes efficiently using SAS/SQL programs. R, Python, and Tableau a plus 2) Aggregate, analyze and synthesize member/patient healthcare data from multiple sources 3) Practice professional and complete documentation 4) Must be motivated to use technology and data to create solutions that solve real business problems and answer important questions in the health care industry 6) Desire to learn and innovate in a fast-paced work environment 7) Assure the integrity of data 8) Manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

5 or more years of health research, epidemiology or pharmaceutical industry analytic experience.

Strong problem solving, analytical, and project management skills.

Demonstrated extensive and diverse knowledge of health care data, metrics, systems and standards; demonstrated subject matter expert in multiple subject areas.

Able to make sound decisions and recommendations to drive business solutions.

Ability to communicate statistical and technical ideas and results to non-technical clients in written and verbal form.

Health care analysis, health economics, epidemiology, or health services research experience.

Well-versed in statistical model building and concepts, decision trees and classification rules, segmentation and cluster analysis.

Strong leadership experience, collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.

Strong problem solving skills and critical thinking ability.

Advanced SQL and SAS programming abilities in data warehouse or big data analytics environment, including use of statistical analysis techniques or business intelligence application development.

Knowledge of analytic programming tools and methods (SAS, SQL, OLAP, Business Objects, Crystal).

Understanding of relational databases, data systems and data warehouses.

Strong reporting skills using Excel, Access, Word and/or PowerPoint.

Strong understanding of customers strategies, information needs programs, processes and products.

Expert knowledge of clinical risk adjustment, multivariate analyses, epidemiology or health economics research methods.

Ability to evaluate/recommend the use of other reporting platforms to solve constituent needs: Business Objects, Microsoft Access, web development technology, big data analytics, data mining, Visual Basic.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
