Senior Medicare Sales/Strategy Program Manager

Engages multiple managers/cross functional leaders and their work teams to see projects through to implementation. Sets strategic direction for certain team projects and/or complex projects and or programs. (e.g., national in scope which may impact one or all segments, Has full accountability for all aspects of assigned projects and or programs such as financial, regulatory, marketing, etc.

Fundamental Components:

(*) Works with Executive Director - Medicare Sales Strategy - Market Sales to set the direction of the strategic business plan and translates into vision for staff/others

(*) As a business leader, influences all stake holders to support key projects/programs to ensure positive outcomes that deliver on results.

(*) Drives change in order to improve performance results, organization effectiveness and/or systems/quality/services

(e.g., policies, processes or systems).

(*) Identifies gaps in processes or organization and challenges self and others to develop and implement solutions.

(*) Directs accountability for impact to SG&A - Ensures accurate prioritization of key projects/programs within purview.

(*) Has ultimate accountability for project management services being delivered including organizations budget and/or financial implications


(*) 7+ years managed care / health insurance industry experience (Medicare experience) preferred

(*) Multiple years proven leadership experience setting strategic direction and influencing change that resulted in quantifiable positive outcomes

(*) 4+ years experience in project/ program management with a successful track record managing complex projects and or programs

(*) Experience managing large budgets.

(*) Project management: including projects plans; meetings; coordinating groups and departments; working with multiple business units, partners across a matrix Medicare organization

(*) Demonstrated negotiation skills.


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
