Family Summary/Mission: To support Aetna s ability to achieve our financial and strategic goals through effective underwriting. Central Underwriting Control, Governance and Risk Management of the AI operation to maximize revenue, membership and earnings and achieve profitable growth whilst maintain risk controls. Position Summary/Mission: Providing analytical support the central UW function, using data to drive actions, improvements in process and insights to trends. Implementing core standards for UW analytics across all regions. Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements: Develop the Underwriting analytics processes and procedures to create a common approach to practices and principles across the regions. This includes the development of activity insights, process improvement and monitoring of Underwriting controls Develop current Underwriting Analytics to improve insights into UW actions and controlsCreate standardized reporting practices and principles across all regions.Actively support the Aetna Thailand transition, Data and analytics process. Provide Regulatory risk tolerance tools for reporting to PRC sProvide training to UW s on Excel tools to improve the UW capabilities across the regionsWorks closely with Actuarial on data governance requirements and analytical support of ongoing projects to enable production within UnderwritingDevelop Underwriting functional tools to standardize contractual requirements across the regionsProfitshareContingent premium arrangementsRenewal matrixSLA arrangementsProduct Bespoke tools – inconjunction with Actuarial Project management experiencePerforms data collection, analytical research and root cause analysis.Identifies issues that may stall project and addresses them.Edits and maintains project-related materials.Tracks and monitors progress against timeline and key milestones.Actively participates in the development of the communications materials on project status to all impacted parties.Actively participates on development of implementation plan to ensure all impacted parties (up stream/down stream) are informed of next steps for completion.May assist with project logistics including agenda, meeting arrangements and minutes. Background/Experience Desired: Must have experience in an insurance environment Experienced 5 years in international health insurance underwriting highly desirableProven track record of coordinating common practices, processes and templates across an internal structure.Project management skills ideal.Experience of presentations and leading project teamsExcellent presentation skillsFluent in written & spoken English Educational Requirements:Degree or equivalent experienceAdditional Information (not mandatory to complete):Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional analytical skills.Ability to communicate effectively with management.Ability to work collaboratively within work teams.Strong organization skills.
