This position will be responsible for day to day operations of Utilization Management nurse reviewers as well as have responsibilities in the development of department improvements and staff development. This position will report to the Manager over the particular Utilization Management area.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Potential on call weekends, phone only not in office.

Fundamental Components the basic responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for day to day operations of Utilization Management nurse reviewers

Responsible for staff development

Work with upper management to assure forward progression of the department

Responsible to assure proper application of the managed care model

Work within a multidiscipline group

Work with medical directors to assure proper nurse reviews


2 yrs Supervisory clinical experience

Ability to work in a high paced environment

Ability to function within a multidisciplinary group

Ability to analyze and implement needed process changes

Willingness to continue to improve on ones over all knowledge. Lean Six Sigma Belt preferred.

Ability to facility forward progression of the department


The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associate's degree or equivalent experience.


Nursing/Registered Nurse is required


Functional - Nursing//1-3 Years

Functional - Leadership/Lead a major change effortculture change/1-3 Years

Functional - Management/Management - Health Care Delivery/1-3 Years


Technical - Computer Operations/Computer Facilities Management/1-3 Years/End User
