The Digital Graphics Designer captivates audiences with application of creative talent in pursuit of business objectives. The Digital Graphics Designer will work in support of Aetnas Enterprise Communications strategy, working with team members to understand the communication needs for projects and provide artwork in still and motion form to help illustrate and visualize data and concepts. The Graphics Designer will also provide motion graphics support with video projects in the form of animation and embellishment of live action video. The ideal candidate will bring strategic thinking, creativity, and a willingness to adapt and flex as needed.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously Create visual aspects of communications assets including web-based articles, video, infographics and presentation graphics Consult with Enterprise Communications Team members to create cohesive designs that reflect the strategic narratives and campaigns Work with Digital Studio team to provide still and motion graphics assets Consult with customers, including leaders in the Corporate Communications Department on digital media and video communications initiatives Proactively and consistently make connections to the larger enterprise context Ensure that all work is error-free, accurate, appropriately approved and consistent with Aetnas core values Understand and support the Aetna brand Understand how digital communications solutions support Aetnas ability to succeed
3+ years of graphic design experience in an agency or communications environment Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, AfterEffects, Motion Graphics, Premiere, PowerPoint, and Keynote Superior client-service skills; strong collaborator with multiple groups/stakeholders. Experience developing and executing successful graphics, infographics and motion graphics designs for video and digital media communication programs for major business organizations. Experience producing all kinds of graphics designs for communications on short notice and as part of long-term initiatives. Healthcare or health insurance industry experience desired Experience with multiple communications platforms, technology, web, social media, etc. Requires advanced knowledge and specialized expertise in at least one communication discipline and experience in one of several sub-disciplines (may include media/public relations, internal/executive communications, public affairs, and marketing or community relations). Experience developing and executing successful communication programs at the enterprise level or for major business organizations. Experience in writing and editing all kinds of communication on short notice and as part of long-term initiatives.. Track record of proactively identifying and pursuing relevant opportunities that resulted in increased audience awareness and understanding of the core message(s). Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with other communication professionals toward a common goal
Travel required between Hartford, CT and New York City.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
