Aetna Project Manager (Network Products) in New York, New York

POSITION SUMMARY

This is an office based role and can be based in New York, NY; Hartford, CT or Blue Bell, PA locations.

The project manager will assist in developing and overseeing the execution of Aetna product strategy, standards, infrastructure and availability which result in increasing and retaining Aetna membership as related to the network product management team.

This role will provide support to internal customers regarding deliverables related to the network and medical product portfolio area.

The individual will be accountable for the successful completion of specific assigned projects, including managing assigned programmatic and operational areas.

The incumbent should ensure effective communication with all stakeholders regarding progress of assigned tasks and maintain a comprehensive understanding of environmental influences both internally and externally.

Fundamental Components:

Provides business support to the network and medical product teams by consulting and executing on business needs, all while promoting consistency and accuracy.

Seeks to optimize team processes and operations, including developing and implementing solutions with high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

Documents and monitors processes and operations for standardization, process improvement, and system enhancements.

Works closely and collaboratively with internal and external partners, including local market and network leadership, to deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

Serves as representative and business owner on IT and analytical projects (e.g. membership reporting) that support network and medical product operations.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Strong communication, critical thinking, problem resolution and interpersonal skills.

Track record of effectively leading projects from inception to completion as well as ability to work and collaborate as a team member.

Solid knowledge and understanding of provider payment, claims processing, financial/contracting arrangements and regulatory requirements.

Proven ability to interact with, influence, and collaborate with internal and external partners at all levels.

Excellent attention to detail with ability to understand how individual projects link to broader strategic objectives. Bachelor's required.
