POSITION SUMMARY

Aetna's mandate is to transform health and wellness via products that enable consumer engagement and a best-in-class experience. This team is responsible for Aetna's digital strategy and all digital products; as well as the development roadmap and execution of the roadmap. A key part of this team is to build an integrated platform and underlying products to drive engagement and revolutionize health and wellness.

Aetna is taking on a major initiative to redesign and rebuild many of its customer facing digital assets. This effort will include a completely new approach to developing software within Aetna, using the latest design approaches, technologies, and processes. Aetna Digital is a newly formed startup like business unit within Aetna, which will design, build and deliver a completely new and integrated digital experience for our users.

Senior Product Manager, Mobile will manage the ActiveHealth iOS and Android mobile applications.

Fundamental Components:

The successful candidate will be a tenacious, ambitious, self-starter, and recognized as a thought leader across Aetna for mobile, wearable, and IoT technology, and how consumers can leverage it to live healthier lives. You will serve as a strong advocate for our end user: the health-conscious consumer, the employer they work for, and the providers that help them. You will have proven analytical capabilities, strong persuasive writing skills, deep understanding of the mobile landscape and emerging trends, broad business experience and the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in an environment that combines fast pace, new mobile applications built on state-of-the-art technology, and APIs that integrate with mature enterprise technology.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager, Mobile who will lead our effort to create mobile applications that re-invent how consumers work with those around them to better manage their health.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Create and lead strategy for ActiveHealth's mobile products in a way that consumers can manage their health effortlessly, and that accelerates ActiveHealth revenue growth, medical cost savings, customer satisfaction and loyalty. Be responsible for translating the customer voice as you work with design, technical and business leaders to set strategy and define products. Strategic partner with Solution Owners and Technology to make sure opportunities pursued are technically feasible, strategically aligned and, most importantly, raising the bar on the ActiveHealth customer and member experience Define and manage roadmap, in conjunction with customers (internal and external), technology teams and business development partners Design product strategies that comply with applicable legal, regulatory, compliance and global information security requirements. Define financial and operating metrics for success and failure and analyze and create dashboards for key metrics. Manage the execution of initiatives from idea through launch, while setting and managing the right expectations with all relevant stakeholders. Proactively identify and solve complex problems and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)

Basic Qualifications

BA/BS (MBA preferred) 7+ years experience working with mobile and wearable technology as a Product Manager for a consumer-facing product for both iOS and Android 10+ years of experience in product management in entrepreneurial, startup projects and large scale software development projects. Metrics-focused: Define metrics for success and failure; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and make decisions. Familiarity with the complex legal, regulatory, compliance, and global information security requirements in the healthcare industry. While you wont write code, you should be able to weigh technical trade-offs and have in-depth discussions with engineers on the nuances of complex enterprise systems. Experience in agile, lean startup product management processes Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
