POSITION SUMMARY

Leads new/innovative product ideation or development of enhancements for prioritization and delivery to support the companys business strategy and value proposition of products that are consumer-centric and tied together. Accountable for the end to end development and management of business strategy including market and financial/profitability analysis for the overall portfolio offering.

Fundamental Components:

Drives strategic direction, simplification & integration of the companys product portfolio.

Establishes a 3-5 year product portfolio roadmap aligned to consumer-centric approach and experience across our products

Provides direction, input and thought leadership into broader strategy work, including product specific strategy work.

Leads Product Ideation and Conceptualization efforts, for new products, programs and/or product enhancements, working in close partnership with other business areas by leveraging in-depth knowledge and understanding of market trends, customer needs/expectations, and internal capabilities.

Oversees/leads the development of rigorous strategic/economic business cases for short-term enhancements, maintenance fixes and/or new products that are breakthrough and positioned to win in the marketplace, including 3-year roadmaps. Substantiates strategy with rigorous analysis and data/research, including milestones, success metrics, and objective, high-level benefits.Mastery-level understanding of strategy implications in context of other products.

Ensure team(s) product strategies are articulated in a compelling manner customized for different stakeholders including laying out facts / data in easily digestible format and drawing clear conclusions

Develops, prioritizes and manages product pipeline

Attends relevant industry conferences with an eye towards market analysis and intelligence on competitive offerings and relevant vendors who could fill critical capability gaps in portfolio identified as priority areas to address to win in the market

Leads ongoing market and competitive analysis to aid strategic decision making.

Analyze, interpret, and build information on customer trends, competitor moves, and product performance.

Oversees business case development and leads business development activities (M&A, partnerships, etc.) when outside vendors are seen to be better way than internal build to establish needed capability

Frames the annual operating plan and three-year strategy.

Generates unique and actionable insights to drive portfolio strategy

Leverage verbal and written communication to obtain buy-in from critical partners including prioritization and funding.

Build and leverage strong relationships and remove barriers; support team in navigating and working across business areas.

Oversee multiple competing products/projects with effect

Talent Management - manages, coaches, mentors and develops staff

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

10+ years experience in Healthcare, Product Development, Management, Strategy (top tier consulting firm)

2+ years in either Finance, PE/VC, or corporate development function doing due diligence and business case development (preferably in healthcare)

Proven ability to influence executive level stakeholders and drive initiatives with positive business impact.

Effective communication/influencing skills applied to broad internal/external audience.

Demonstrates effective business acumen and strategic thinking.

Advanced ability to manipulate data, understand patterns, and draw conclusions in a hypothesis driven approach to analysis.

Makes effective decisions that achieve business goals and objectives.

Experience with cross-functional initiatives, matrix organizations with a moderate to high degree of complexity.

Demonstrated experience developing documents, presentations and support material to successfully implement strategy or change initiatives.

Demonstrated relationship management skills at all levels within an organization and external constituents.

Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office; developing complex presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Excellent oral, written, presentation and communications skills.

Ability to influence diverse teams and build strong relationships.

Ability to support a high paced agenda.

Ability to work independently

Ability to make sound independent decisions

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
