POSITION SUMMARYThe Regional Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the Medicare line of business by developing and executing marketing strategies in collaboration with local markets, Medicare Marketing creative, and Product & Communications, to drive membership acquisition, retention, and revenue growth for Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and Prescription Drug Plans. This position plays a critical role in the development of differentiation strategies, programs, and objectives for the various regional markets that he/she is responsible for, as well as participates in the development and implementation of the national strategy. · Develop the local market strategy and tactical operating plans with the Regional teams· Direct the implementation of marketing strategies and plans at the local market level· Optimize marketing plans to support increased market share· Analyze local market results, competitive landscape and other key market and consumer insights to determine regional opportunities and message positioning· Represent Region and Product points of view to greater Marketing team to deliver effective marketing messaging in the local markets· Support member retention and provider relations marketing efforts· Liaison between Marketing, external agencies and Regional sales team· Regional marketing budget management· Direct market research/competitive intelligence activities and determine how information impacts strategy development Fundamental Components:Strengthen Aetna s brands and support business growth through planning, coordination and/or execution of marketing tactics in both local markets and national, where applicable. Focused on the local market, business, or consumer segments which support the expansion of our business while building trust and loyalty with our sponsors, community partners and internal customers.Key Responsibilities:Business/Marketing Integration - Understands Line of Business (LOB) strategy and goals and drives marketing tactics to meet business objectives; possesses client mentality. Has a deep understanding of LOB strategy & leverages business intelligence and insights to drive decisions for key priorities in targeted local market, business, or consumer segmentGuides senior clients to make smart decisions that impact their business· Responsible for coordinating all strategy activation activities per the strategic plan provided by each business area.· Highly communicative team player, adjusts to working style/needs of others to establish strong relationships· Thinks creatively & strategically to shape appropriate content & select delivery channels· Understands holistic view of target customer segments & journey, can link to initiatives supporting business needs· Partners with analytics to develop and support segmentation and targeting strategies based on insights and data to drive customer behavior· Derives relevant insights to develop strategic recommendations and programs/campaigns in real time· Relationship management skills· Ensures marketing campaigns and/or programs deliver meaningful experiences for customers · Maintains brand integrity and ensures the customer experience aligns to Aetna's brand strategy· Supports integrated planning and drives coordinated omni-channel campaigns that result in consistent experiences· Develops relevant content based on the customers place in their journey.· Demonstrates technical and strategic understanding of digital media channels and marketing technology (e.g., Search, Mobile, Social Media) · Collaboration skills + Passion for what we do· Work across marketing functional areas and deliver against business goals· Consumer-centric marketer supporting efforts to deliver hyper-personalized experiences BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE · 10+ years of experience in Product, Marketing, Brand, Management, Agencies or Consulting roles. · B2C primary experience, B2B also preferred (Healthcare experience is a plus)· Strong strategic, critical thinking, and conceptual abilities; ability to contribute to strategic planning discussions · Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities at the same time· Ability to influence others, work effectively in a matrix environment, and interact with all levels of the organization. EDUCATIONBachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
