Aetna Competitive Insights Manager in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

Manage the development, project management, execution and communication of primary and secondary market research, and business and competitive intelligence insights. Collaborate and consult with others at Aetna, including internal clients and business stakeholders. Identify and manage required resources for key initiatives. Participate in education and training. Apply knowledge of primary and secondary research methods. With knowledge of the business priorities, interpret findings in the context of Aetna s strategy and operations. Develop research reports; communicate/present insights and strategic implications. Identify appropriate research vendors and resources for the recommended method. Manage vendor negotiation, contracting, timelines and budgets. Manage or oversee deliverables and quality assurance.

Fundamental Components included but are not limited to:

Plans for the effective development and implementation of longer-term market research agendas that include a synthesis of findings from multiple sources.Dynamically discuss agenda with business users throughout the year and adapt agenda to meet changing market conditions.Apply principles, theories, and concepts to determine a course of action.Prioritizes work, forecasts, and schedules and coordinates resources.Organizes multiple tasks and projects independently, which are reviewed in terms of achieving goals, generally over an extended period of time.Capable of organizing group projects, working collaboratively and with multiple dependencies.Actively contribute to functioning of team, sharing information and driving internal projects.Project management including managing market research professionals, and vendors and details of projects, such as timelines, sample, data feeds, data security, research logistics and budgets.Write reports and present findings independently.Dynamically address questions and follow up on additional analysis and interpretation as needed.Must be capable of working with primary, secondary and marketing analytics information. Working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative primary market research methods required.Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within a professional or market research field or recognized body of formal knowledge. This includes knowledge required for complex problems or analysis. (*)

Qualifications Requirements and Preferences:

5+ years related experience. Degrees in related fields such as Marketing, Business, Communications, and Social Sciences are a plus.Bachelor's Degree RequiredMasters degree preferred, but not required.
