Advanced finance position supporting Medicaid business unit Forecast and Planning team. Performing complex assignments requiring advanced analytical and technical skills. Maintain financial models for Forecast and monthly Actuals within Medicaid. Building and maintaining excel models for Medicaid financials and reporting of each of the 16 health plans within Medicaid. Manage the system changes for departments and cost centers. Participating in and sometimes leading special projects and ad hoc reporting requests, as needed.
Fundamental Components included but are not limited to:
*Maintain P&L financial excel model.
*Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
*Provide data and analysis to support the Medicaid leadership.
*Maintain and improve current financial dashboards using Power BI software.
*Analyze new reporting methods and revise Medicaid Finance processes as needed to provide more meaningful and timely analysis/reporting for senior management.
*Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the Medicaid financial systems
*Manage & maintain an appropriate cost center structure to help organize and track G&A expenses
*Streamline processes for efficiency and identify cost savings opportunities within defined scope.
*Work on automating processes through harnessing VBA.
*Prepare complex ad hoc monthly reports as needed for expenses, staffing and key performance metrics.
*Communicate results to senior leadership.
Qualifications Requirements and Preferences:
*3-5 years of related experience
*Working knowledge of financial systems, especially Hyperion, SAP
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*PC skills in Excel, VBA (Macros), PowerPoint
*Power BI Dashboards or working knowledge of Access and/or data base management
*Work independently with business areas to compile information.
*Ability to manipulate large amount of data into concise analytical reports.
