Accountable for driving and achieving company defined distribution channel sales goals and objectives. Responsible for the execution of market strategy impacting the recruitment, onboarding, engagement, production, and compliance adherence of assigned independent agent base. Membership growth & retention is the primary responsibility of this position through new business initiatives, event coordination, service and partnership with the broker community for all Aetna Medicare Individual products to support profitable growth and other business objectives.
Responsible for meeting established health plan broker sales goal through management of assigned block of agents.
Prospects for and recruits new agents through collaboration with National and Direct agency relationships or through agent marketing activities targeted direct to the agents.
Assures appropriate market coverage through management of agent recruiting activities.
*Responsible for identifying and developing local preferred agents to support the attainment of health plan goals.
Develop strong external and internal relationships to achieve customer satisfaction and membership growth.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring the execution of all member service related issues and marketing programs that result in member retention, new business growth and event coordination to support profitable growth.
This role will initiate, assist and manage programs that cover a wide range of community activities including event planning, strategic marketing and promotions to effectively communicate the Aetna brand.
Key role is to prioritize broker relationships according to their ability to meet or exceed expectations.
And, all other duties as assigned.
Excellent writer and strong communicator with high attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers both internal & external and all levels of management.
Ability to use standard corporate software packages and corporate applications.
Experience in creating, editing, and promoting written and visual content for marketing events.
This position is seeking a motivated, goal orientated, multi-tasker and critical thinker with a problem-solving skill set when multi-tasking who can work with minimal supervision.
Appropriate state license to sell insurance is required, subject to product sold within 3 months of DOH.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associate's degree or equivalent experience.

Candidate must be detailed and process oriented, deadline driven, a fast learner, and able to work in fast-paced environment.
Background in an operational environment preferably within a marketing organization supporting business within federally/state regulated industries highly desirable.
