Manages, leads, or participates on complex medical economic projects (e.g., Medical Cost Savings Initiatives). Responsible for the development and implementation of models to support future savings estimates, as well as actual achieved savings. Works consultatively with key internal customers on the Pharmacy team.
Works cross-functionally within the Medicaid Business Unit and with the Pharmacy team toward achieving operational targets.
Develops and presents actionable recommendations to management based on analysis.
Presents highly complex information in a way that multiple levels within an organization can understand and utilize to make appropriate decisions to meet business objectives.
Assists in development/mentoring of less experienced team members. May assist in providing direction of day to day activities.
Leads the design, development, and distribution of database tools and applications to efficiently measure, monitor, and/or forecast medical/pharmacy cost structure.
Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, math, or related field preferred or 3 to 5 years equivalent work experience in the healthcare industry.
5-8 years demonstrated leadership and analytics experience.
Understanding of key pharmacy, such as pricing methodology, utilization management, PDLs, specialty pharmacy, etc.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
Strong analytical ability and familiarity with advanced financial and healthcare concepts.
Advanced software and programming skills will be required, particularly SQL and Excel
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
