Job Description

This position is responsible for educating dual-eligible members who are seamlessly enrolled into the Mercy Care Advantage program. The SEOC makes outreach attempts to the member and explains the benefits of the plan; how to use health plan services; and access care. This typically is done over the phone, or may be in-person with the member.

Fundamental Components included but are not limited to:

Responsible for the adherence of ethical representation standards of Mercy Care Advantage and does not misrepresent the benefits, access to care or financial obligations to prospective members.

Interacts with other departments for problem resolution.

Performs other duties, assignments, and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer s sole discretion.

Must be available and willing to work such days and hours as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Qualifications Requirements and Preferences:

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

1-3 years of health insurance industry experience preferred.

1-3 years of customer service experience necessary.

Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).

Effective telephone and problem identification and resolution skills.

Technology Experience:

Desktop Tool - Microsoft Outlook, Desktop Tool - TE Microsoft Excel

Required Skills:

Desired Skills:
