Aetna Windows Systems Engineer (Night Shift) in Phoenix, Arizona

The Network Operations Command Center (NOCC) monitor, manage and maintain a network of deployed Windows and Unix devices. Work with Windows/Unix Engineers to monitor and maintain the deployed devices.

This position requires evening hours from 6pm to 6am, Pacific time Thursday through Saturday with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday off. Will be required to work every other Sunday 6pm to 6am. Work location is Phoenix, AZ. Telework is not available.

Fundamental Components:

We are looking for an experienced IT engineer to work an overnight shift in our Phoenix Data Center. This position will monitor our compute environment, including Windows and Linux file servers, routers, switches, load balancers, and security appliances. You will work issues as they come up as a level one support engineer or pass them on to a level two engineer when required. This position is for Monday through Wednesday's 6pm to 6am and every other Sunday 6pm to 6am.


Minimum 3 years of system engineering experience Prior experience working in a Data Center environment is desirable Windows Operating Systems Administrator experience preferred Computer Operations/System and Console Operations Administrator experience preferred


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


Information Technology/Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is desired

Information Technology/CTT+ Certification - Computing Technology Industry Association (Comp TIA) is desired

Information Technology/MCITP: Server Administrator is desired

Information Technology/Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is desired
