Pharmacy Technician IIs act as a resource in the processing of prescription orders with an emphasis on prescription entry and prescription translation. Functional areas include prescription order entry, participant services, doctor calls and other areas as assigned.
Read and interpret prescription orders Collect appropriate information and documentation Create, update and maintain required records and systems Communicate effectively with both internal and external constituants Detailed research and problem solving required
Proficiency in computerized pharmacy systems and software applications required.
Understanding of pharmacy terminology.
Accurate prescription translation skills
Strong verbal and written communcation skills
Customer Service in either a retail or mail setting
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Registered Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida is required
