POSITION SUMMARY:

Sutter Health and Aetna are building a new company in Northern California as part of an innovative joint venture. Sutter Health|Aetna is a jointly-owned company that will rethink, reimagine and redefine the health care system to reward value more than volume and help to drive quality healthcare outcomes in Northern California.

The Executive Assistant to the CEO is responsible for providing administrative and office support to the Chief Executive Officer and C-Suite team. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment and not only initiates and manages correspondence but also resolves inquires and coordinates complex meetings and arrangements internally and externally. With significant and ongoing exposure to senior executives at Sutter Health, Aetna and many of the leading employers in Northern California, this high-potential individual will have meaningful growth and development opportunities commensurate with the companys growth.

FUNDAMENTAL COMPONENTS:

Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with other executive assistants, enterprise leaders and individuals from both Aetna and Sutter Health

Proactively manages CEOs calendar for internal, external and personal commitments with a focus on maximizing his/her impact on the business

Actively participates in executive staff meetings and other key executive interactions in order to support follow-on analyses, communication needs or other outcomes required

Organizes, prioritizes and responds to inquiries and directs to appropriate area for response

Creates efficiency for CEOs time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information

Monitors status of all assigned tasks and ensures timely closure

Organizes and maintains all critical files, correspondence and records

Manages PTO and expense reports for CEO and approval process for direct reports

Facilitates arrangements for and welcomes guests and customers; answering or directing inquiries

Multi-tasks to accomplish workload efficiently

Models integrity and ethical behavior in all situations; ensures confidentiality

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

8+ years executive administrative support experience desired

Excellent communication and organization skills needed

Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including sophisticated Power Point and Excel skills preferred

EDUCATION:

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

TELEWORK:

Preferred onsite in Walnut Creek, but open to telework in Northern California only to be within a reasonable distance to support the CEO
