Database administrator responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of high availability enterprise servers. Deploying and testing replication and disaster recovery solutions, and ensuring database security, integrity, and performance while working with project managers to review, optimize, and deploy database changes to production environments.

Fundamental Components

Responsibilities Ensure database security, integrity, and performance Application of SQL Patches, Upgrades and Migrations Monitor and maintain all SQL Server instances (Production, Certification, QA) Monitor and maintain all SQL Server subsystems (SQL Agent) Ensure backup and recovery processes for all SQL Server databases 24 x 7 Support On Call rotation 1 out of 5 weeks Perform code and design review Troubleshooting, problem analysis, and resolution Recommend and implement best practices and corporate standards Fulfill requests from other departments Produce data validation or data pulls to allow QA to troubleshoot Proactive approach to database management Enforcement of HIPPA and HITrust security access, rights, roles, and procedures


Required qualifications and skills Outgoing and energetic; Positive and motivated Team player with strong communication skills 4+ years Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience or similar RDMS Database and server performance tuning Experience with XEvents/Query Execution Plans


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


Comprehensive knowledge of Information Technology and the processes necessary to leverage it to deliver business systems. Good understanding of new technologies and technological trends as they relate to business system delivery. Ability to provide appropriate (technology and architecture) strategy/direction setting for the business. Experience with remote disaster recovery and business continuance sites Analysis Services SQL Server replication, Always On, and log shipping T-SQL As it relates to troubleshooting and performance tuning
