POSITION SUMMARY

As a Care Management Associate, you will help support the BP Care Advocate Team to provide comprehensive coordination of medical services for the BP membership.

Fundamental Components:

As part of the Patient Management team, your daily job functions will include: answering incoming calls from providers and members regarding precertification or pre-registration for surgical procedures; coordinating with appropriate nurses; verifying eligibility; referring/transferring callers to appropriate departments/clinical staff; and providing excellent customer service. You will use eTUMS, ATV, and other software programs to enter data, research information and document your daily activities. The job responsibilities require the ability to learn multiple processes and complete them consistently, efficiently and in compliance with detailed policy & procedures.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

2-4 years of telephonic customer service experience, computer literacy, basic knowledge of Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook, superb ability to multitask and problem solve, knowledge of medical terminology, and a strong desire to provide the highest customer service experience possible.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.

Telework Specifications:

For all external hires, telework is not an option until after 1 full year of in-office employment. For internal hires only (must be physically located in San Antonio), the option for continued telework is considered on a case-by-case basis & will require a period of time in the office for training.
