POSITION SUMMARY

Challenging IT position to lead in the implementation of Dev/Ops methodology in a fast paced environment.

Opportunity to work with Sr. Management to implement the Dev/Ops roadmap.

Collaborate work environment across multiple teams.

Lead the team to the future of automated continuous testing within the Workers Comp application suite. Develop automated test scripts, using requirement, architecture, data modeling, design, and Use Case artifacts as input, and embracing industry design techniques, to produce the most efficient and risk adverse outcomes.

Fundamental Components:

Responsible for the overall automation test architecture, strategy, standards, and procedures for assigned area(s), working with the DevSecOps center of excellence.

Leads, or acts as technical or business contributor, to support automated test design process and deliverables, using requirement, architecture, data modeling, design, and Use Case artifacts as input.

Experience in performance testing and ability to lead WC QA direction in alignment with DevSecOps Continuous Testing processes.

Demonstrates understanding of the environment and infrastructure configuration in developing or reviewing automated test design.

Identifies automation and process improvement opportunities and implements on future project/release testing based on technical changes and advancements in the testing field.

Recommends, trains, coaches and implements new automation testing practices and procedures that are consistent with industry standards and practices.

Provides technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing automated test tools.

Oversees or performs complex testing, according to detailed plans to ensure high-quality systems.

Reviews project estimates for knowledgeable areas and provide oversight for program level efforts utilizing the QA estimate template and maintains those estimates using the proper QA tools.

Responsible for escalating project and release items (issues, concerns, defects) to the Dev Ops team and Release Manager and for communicating own issues, developing options to mitigate negative impacts to release schedule; assists the QA Sr. Manager/QA Sr. PM in understanding impacts of issues in other areas or own area of testing.

Timely and accurate reporting status, defect information and metrics.

Provides expertise on applications and technologies to support project teams.

Utilize accepted methodology & tools in a disciplined manner.

Supervision Received: Receives general direction, primarily working independently.

Supervision Exercised: Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced team members. No direct management responsibility, but is highly accountable for the effectiveness, quality and timelines of test design.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

8+ years continuous automated functional & regression testing experience. 2+ years experience with Dev Ops automation tools suite for test script automation with multiple tools such as HP UFT and/or IBM RQM/RFT. Experience of integration with Octopus Deploy development tool is required. Experience with other tools such as: urban code, Maven, MS Test, JUnit 5, GitHub are desirable Solid understanding of QA processes, approaches, methodologies and software development lifecycle. Strong ability in root cause analysis of issues, resolving testing issues, and driving issues to closure. Experience with and other automation products. Experience with test case management tool like HP ALM and UFT or IBM Rational Suite. Working knowledge on developing Automation for Functional, Load, Regression and Performance Testing. DB2, Oracle, SQLServer database experience preferred. .Net and Java preferred. Solid understanding of the Agile or SCRUM development process and software release processes. Must be a self-starter who is highly organized, hands-on, and a team player. Ability to thrive in a fast paced, startup environment. Detail oriented, with strong written and verbal communication Natural leader, comfortable working with all levels of individuals.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Professional designations such as: Certified Test Foundation Level (CTFL) is desirable.
