Job Description
As a part of the Aetna Business Development team you will play a critical role in cultivating relationships with prospective clients, existing clients, external business partners, and internal Aetna experts. You will be instrumental in developing client acquisition and retention strategies, increasing revenue and growing membership, uncovering and capitalizing on market opportunities, identifying the competition and industry trends, ensuring your clients satisfaction, and keeping constituents fully informed of product innovation and company news.
Fundamental Components included but are not limited to:
The Program: The E.E. Cammack Group School, started in 1924, is the premier program where talented new graduates are recruited, hired and developed into members of our client management team. The program is designed to help you transition from your college experience to your job as an Aetna Sales Executive. Over the course of a full year, participants learn critical skills combining product and industry fundamentals with coaching in consultative skills, presentations and public speaking. Participants begin their permanent jobs with the support of the program leaders and the networks they have built through this prestigious program.
As a member of the Group School class, you'll participate in a disciplined sales training and development program that includes:
Classroom and on-the-job training
Continuous evaluation and coaching to achieve optimum performance
A career mentor who will help develop and guide you through career-related experiences
Formal leadership and skills training
The opportunity to participate in various networking events and activities with senior management.
The first phase of training will take place in the summer of 2020 and will last for approximately 7 weeks beginning in June.
Qualifications Requirements and Preferences:
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
Willingness to travel and/or relocate.
- Previous sales/co-op work experience
Demonstrated leadership capabilities
Good communication skills verbal, written, presentation
Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships
Time and workload management
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Sales majors/certification are a plus but not required.
Additional Job Information:
Location Specifications: We are hiring 10 people that will be located in various offices across the US. Extended training period in Hartford, CT will be required. Must be open to any location in the U.S.
