A Billing Premium Consultant will deliver consultative and professional services to our clients by preparing and delivering an accurate invoice, collecting and posting payments timely, reconciling payments, reporting and resolving discrepancies. A Billing Premium Consultant would also be responsible for providing timely responses on financial reports on a monthly basis.
Provide clients with an accurate invoice and ensure that payments are posted accurately across various benefits and account structure. Reconcile the client payment. Monitor, research and resolve collection of outstanding premium and overdue accounts in accordance with the established process. Ensure all manual adjustments, refunds and write-offs are appropriately submitted, adhering to policy guidelines. Consult with internal/external clients to identify accurate account structure, billing format and payment method to meet client expectations. Collaborates with other functions to resolve discrepancies. Reviews account receivable and administrative reports to monitor account balances and reconciliation statuses. Effectively communicates, follows up and understands how and when to escalate issues.
Financial/Accounting experience a plus. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Able to multi-task and problem solve. Good listener with the ability and confidence to interact effectively with both internal and external clients. Attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication as well as analytical skills preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft excel ex: V-Lookup & Pivot tables. Financial Experience a plus.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Position must be in an Aetna Office preferably Sunrise FL, Hartford CT, Tampa FL, San Antonio TX, Jacksonville FL, HighPoint NC, etc. This is a full time in office position, no work at home arrangements will be considered.
