Support actuarial functions by applying quantitative skills and analytical methods to well defined projects. Set own priorities within pre-established overall deadlines. Use strong technical skills in a functional manner and demonstrate fundamental business and product knowledge. Act with some direction from supervisor and you will support large group & small group, benefit design pricing along with supporting underwriting of forecasting & reserving processes.
Join an actuarial team directly supporting Aetna's Local & Regional Business in California. Lines of business include small group and large group. Working on a health plan actuarial team will provide exposure to many diverse areas of health plan operations including reserving, product development, pricing, medical management, underwriting, and sales. In additional to strong analytical skills strong communication skills are desired as this position will require communication with a variety of people and departments.
Bachelors degree along with a minimum of 1+ year(s) work experience.
Must have passed a minimum of 2+ actuarial exams.
Proficient in Excel.
Knowledge of Microsoft Access, SAS/SQL preferred.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
