Clinical Program Consultant (CPC) needed to offer clinical insights and solutions to improve health plan performance for group commercial plan sponsors. Highly collaborative position and professional environment working with account teams and customers as well as other CPCs and MDs, medical social workers, certified wellbeing professionals and Aetnas clinical operation teams to improve the health of employee populations. Excellent opportunity for direct plan sponsor engagement in a customer-facing role leveraging consultative and presentation skills. This external customer-facing position partners with account teams in support of membership retention and growth. Excellent opportunity for a registered nurse to have engagement in an external-facing role leveraging analytic, consultative and presentation skills.
Fundamental Components but not limited to the following:
CPCs are part of the Plan Sponsor Insights (PSI) business focused on the development of employer health and wellness strategies, providing subject matter expertise on Aetnas clinical programs, and analyzing clinical program performance to propose recommendations to help mitigate medical cost trend, and optimize return on investment for our plan sponsors in the group commercial business.
Key aspects of the position are:
-Provide consultative clinical support to account teams and plan sponsors as needed based on analysis and identification of key drivers of results
-Recommend clinical programs and services that align with customer strategy and help drive short and long term results
-Development and presentation of clinical content and recommendations in customer facing meetings
-Act as a trusted clinical resource to the field for clinical program guidance
-Collaborate across the enterprise and with clinical operations to problem-solve as necessary
-Participate in the design of clinical solutions and measurement of success and share knowledge of population health trends
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong clinical analytic skills and demonstrated conceptual thinking.
Strong background in, and knowledge, of the healthcare industry and market.
Strong knowledge of medical management products, programs and services.
Excellent consultative, communication and presentation skills (ability to take complex content and facilitate understanding for the audience)
Ability to establish highly collaborative relationships within and outside the organization
The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
